Cultural Tours – Tour to the Maracanã Stadium
A tour of the most famous stadium on the planet. Originally built for the 1950 World Cup, the stadium was extensively renovated for the 2014 Brazil World Cup and was the setting for the opening of the Rio Olympic Games in 2016. It hosted the Confederations Cup in 2013 and ceremonies of opening and closing of the 2007 Pan American Games. The Temple of Soccer was also the scene of important events such as the concerts of Madonna, Rolling Stones (twice), Paul McCartney, Tina Turner, and masses with the presence of Pope John Paul II in 1980 and 1997. During the tour, you will visit several parts of the stadium such as the changing rooms, decorated with the shirts of the Brazilian soccer teams, the warm-up room for the players, the press room of the stadium, and finally reaching the main attraction: the court where visitors can sit in the benches. This tour is recommended not only for football lovers but for the whole family.
