The Grand Champion: Unidos do Viradouro!

The results tallied on February 18th confirmed the favorite: Unidos do Viradouro is the Grand Champion of Rio Carnival 2026! With the theme “Pra Cima, Ciça!” (Go Ciça!), the school from Niterói won over both judges and the public with a technically flawless performance and a thunderous drum corps, honoring the history of the legendary Mestre Ciça.

The Party Isn’t Over Yet!

The Carnival spirit is still alive! This coming Saturday, Feb 21st, the traditional Champions’ Parade will take place, bringing Viradouro and the top-ranked schools back to the Sambadrome for one last magical night.

Rio Carnival 2026 goes down in history for its strong international presence and impeccable organization. In Rio de Janeiro, Carnival is not just an event; it is a global experience. And Intertouring is proud to be part of this history.
