Cultural Tours – Tour Carioca Flavor
A gastronomic tour that takes place only on Saturdays, where you can taste the traditional appetizers of the Carioca cuisine, along with a typical Brazilian lunch: “feijoada”. The tour includes typical bars frequented by the citizens of Rio. Ideal for those who enjoy a gastronomic experience.
We begin the tour picking passengers up in their respective hotels to take them to our first stop: a Feira Livre where we will taste the well-known “Carioca cake” accompanied by Caldo de Cana. Then we follow the tour to one of the most traditional restaurants in Rio, ANGU DU GOMES, and its history full of curiosities in the Largo da Prainha, where there is a sculpture in tribute to the first black dancer of the Municipal Theater. In this restaurant, you will be able to taste various types of Angu (not included). The tour continues with a trip to the IMACULADA Restaurant, at the beginning of Conceição Hill, a bucolic neighborhood in the center of Rio. Here we will taste the famous “Bola 7” (a black bean donut) accompanied by a lemon shake. The next stop is the ARMAZEN DO SENADO bar, with a gastronomic proposal revolving around traditional Carioca snacks of different flavors. The tour continues through the headquarters of the famous street carnival block “Cordão da Bola Preta”, a group that parades through the streets of downtown Rio during carnival, gathering up to 1 million people. The tour finally arrives at the BARODROMO Restaurant, a fully Carnival themed restaurant with allegories, costumes, T-shirts, and flags of the Samba schools that tell the story of the Rio Carnival. Here we will have the famous feijoada (drinks not included). Once lunch is over, the tour will take the passengers to the CAFÉ DO BOM, CACHAÇA DA BOA, where the tour ends with a tasting of coffee and cachaça with various traditional desserts from the Rio de Janeiro cuisine (the desserts are optional). Here passengers can buy various types of coffee and artisanal cachaças. After the tour, passengers will be taken back to their respective hotels.
